Low ELO: Where dreams are forged in the fire of fierce competition, and where players are tested to their limits. It’s the crucible where boys become men in the great game of League of Legends. If you and your duo are struggling to carry your team through the chaos of bot lane, don’t worry—there’s always room for growth. Read ahead for the best bot lane duos that can help you climb the ranks and turn those tough games into victories.

1. Jhin + Zyra

Starting off with a classic but highly effective duo: Jhin and Zyra. This pair has been dominating bot lane for years, and for good reason. Zyra’s insane disengage and impressive crowd control, combined with Jhin’s ability to snare anyone caught in her plants, make for an unstoppable synergy. From level 1, the duo can easily set up ganks and secure picks, creating constant pressure on the enemy bot lane. Transitioning into mid-game, their effectiveness doesn’t wane—anyone unfortunate enough to wander into an unwarded bush will quickly be met with a quick and deadly combo, often resulting in a grey screen. With their primary strength being picks and solo kills, Jhin and Zyra thrive in the chaotic nature of low elo solo queue. For their ability to dominate in the early and mid game, this duo gets my top recommendation.

2. Caitlyn + Lux

Next up is the long-range powerhouse duo: Caitlyn and Lux. This pairing is all about poke, control, and safety in lane. Caitlyn’s ability to zone and poke from a distance with her traps and long-range auto-attacks pairs perfectly with Lux’s burst damage and crowd control. The synergy between their abilities allows for consistent harassment, forcing enemies to either play passively or face the consequences. Lux’s binding can lock down enemies for Caitlyn to follow up with a quick headshot, while Caitlyn’s traps provide perfect setup for Lux’s skill shots. In the mid-game, the duo continues to dominate with their poke-heavy playstyle, as they can easily clear waves, secure objectives, and set up ambushes with their combined range. Whether it’s poking enemies out of lane or executing a well-timed combo for picks, Caitlyn and Lux shine in low elo, where coordination is key but often lacking. Their ability to control the bot lane and create pressure across the map makes them a top-tier duo for climbing the ranks.

3. Miss Fortune + Tahm Kench

Lastly, we have the drooling easy bot lane: Miss Fortune and Tahm Kench. While we continue to hope for Tahm Kench nerfs (which may not be coming anytime soon), there’s no denying the power of this duo. Miss Fortune brings the early game firepower and consistent damage, while Tahm Kench offers insane sustain and peel that can frustrate even the most aggressive opponents. Early lane pressure is all in Miss Fortune’s favor, with her poke and damage forcing enemies to play cautiously, while Tahm Kench provides a near-impenetrable wall with his Devour and Thick Skin. Transitioning into the mid and late game, this duo only becomes more potent—Miss Fortune’s Bullet Time becomes a devastating force in teamfights, and Kench’s durability never falls off, allowing him to continue peeling for his ADC. While this duo requires a bit more teamwork compared to the likes of Caitlyn/Lux or Jhin/Zyra, it excels in low elo where chaos reigns. The synergy between Miss Fortune’s damage and Tahm Kench’s peel and sustain makes them a consistently reliable pick that can help you rack up LP on your climb.

These are my top three picks to help you secure that sweet, sweet LP you deserve. While each duo has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, based on stats and my own experience, these three are currently the strongest and will continue to perform well as we approach the next season. Ultimately, pick what you feel most comfortable with and what suits your playstyle.
